World University of Bangladesh Showcases Innovation at Telecom & Digital Innovation Fair 2025
World University of Bangladesh (WUB) proudly participated in the ‘Telecom & Digital Innovation Fair 2025’,
held at the Bangladesh Telecommunication
Regulatory Commission (BTRC) in Agargaon, Dhaka. The day-long
event brought together forward-thinking minds from academia and industry to
display groundbreaking ideas that drive technological progress.
Organized by BTRC, the fair featured 32 digital innovations from 20 organizations,
including renowned domestic and international companies, mobile operators, and seven public and private universities.
WUB joined this esteemed group by presenting three unique project concepts developed by its talented
students.
These projects reflect the university’s commitment to fostering
innovation and preparing students to tackle real-world challenges in the
telecom and ICT sectors. The concepts presented by WUB focused on digital
transformation and sustainable solutions, drawing interest from visitors,
experts, and evaluators alike.
The closing ceremony was graced by ICT Division Secretary Mr. Shish Haider Chowdhury as
Chief Guest, along with Posts and
Telecommunications Secretary Mr. Zahirul Islam, BTRC Chairman Major General (Retd) Md. Emdad
Ul Bari, and BTRC Commissioner
Mahmud Hossain. The Speakers emphasized the importance of
converting creative ideas into commercially viable solutions to support
national development and digital inclusion.
The active participation of WUB in the fair highlighted its growing presence in Bangladesh’s technology and innovation landscape. The university congratulated all the
winners and thanked BTRC for organizing such a dynamic platform for showcasing
and encouraging innovation.
