WUB CSE Department Hosts “IT Fest 2025” to Foster Innovation and Technological Excellence

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) successfully organized “IT Fest 2025” on October 11, 2025, at WUB campus. The vibrant, day-long event brought together tech enthusiasts from across departments, celebrating creativity, innovation, and excellence in information technology.

The festival featured six dynamic segments designed to enhance students’ technical and problem-solving skills:

  1. Project Showcasing
  2. Programming Contest
  3. Business Idea Competition
  4. ICT Olympiad
  5. Line Following Robot Competition
  6. Mobile Gaming Competition

Participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm, presenting innovative projects and competing in a spirit of teamwork and healthy competition. The event concluded with a grand award ceremony, where winners from each category were recognized for their outstanding performances.

The festival was graced by Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor of WUB, as the Chief Guest. Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar of WUB, and Professor Dr. M. Quamruzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering attended as Special Guests. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Mir Mohammad Azad, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

 “IT Fest 2025” served as a vibrant platform for students to explore emerging dimensions of information and communication technology, encouraging collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation. Through this initiative, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering reaffirmed its commitment to WUB’s mission of producing skilled, competent, and future-ready graduates capable of driving technological advancement in Bangladesh and beyond.
