CSE Fun Fiesta 2026 Delivers Spectacular Success: Hundreds of Students Celebrate Innovation, Competition, and Community at WUB

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) successfully hosted CSE Fun Fiesta 2026 on July 25, 2026, delivering an unforgettable day of competition, creativity, innovation, and community spirit. The event transformed the campus into a vibrant hub of gaming competitions, athletic challenges, cultural performances, and entrepreneurial showcases, engaging hundreds of students from across the university.

The event was graced by Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest. Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Quamruzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering and Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, attended as Special Guests. Professor Dr. AQM Shafiul Azam, Dean of Academic Affairs and Research, was also scheduled to attend as a Special Guest.

The fiesta featured a wide range of activities designed to highlight students' talents, creativity, teamwork, and technical excellence. Participants enthusiastically took part in Chess, Ludo, Carrom, Dart Throw, and VR Football competitions, demonstrating strategic thinking, precision, and competitive spirit through both traditional games and modern virtual reality experiences.

A colorful Cultural Program added vibrancy to the celebration through captivating musical performances, dance, and entertainment presented by talented students. The much-awaited Raffle Draw brought excitement to the audience with attractive prizes, while the Entrepreneurs' Corner provided aspiring student entrepreneurs with an excellent platform to showcase innovative business ideas and connect with fellow students and mentors.

One of the major attractions of the event was the Robo Soccer competition, where custom-built robots competed in exciting autonomous matches, showcasing the technological creativity and engineering skills of the participants. The Futsal Tournament featured thrilling indoor football matches between departmental teams, while the Tug of War competition displayed remarkable teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship, creating some of the most memorable moments of the day.

The event successfully fulfilled its objective of strengthening the WUB community by bringing together students, faculty members, and staff in an atmosphere of friendship, collaboration, and healthy competition. Faculty members actively participated as judges, coordinators, and mentors, while student volunteers played a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of every activity.
