Md. Rakibul Islam is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. Prior to this role, He worked as a Research Assistant at the Computer Vision and Intelligent Interfacing Lab (CVIIL) at Islamic University, Bangladesh. He earned both his M.Sc. (2024) and B.Sc. (2022) degrees in Information and Communication Technology from Islamic University, Bangladesh. His research interests lie in the intersection of Medical Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Biomedical Robotics. He specializes in AI-driven segmentation of cancerous tissues in multimodal MRI images, with a focus on prostate and brain cancers. His work also involves radiomics-based image-guided therapy, aiming to advance cancer treatment through enhanced imaging analysis. In addition, He is an active member of the BioRAIN Lab, where he contributes to the development of state-of-the-art tools for medical imaging. He is deeply passionate about leveraging artificial intelligence to revolutionize healthcare by improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes.
