Biography
Sumaiya Rahman is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET). Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision. She has co-authored multiple research works presented at internationally recognized conferences.
She was selected among the top 15 female STEM talents in Bangladesh for the Banglalink Womentor 5.0 program, where she gained valuable industry exposure. She also earned national recognition as the champion of a hackathon organized by the Information Center on Nuclear Energy, Bangladesh, in collaboration with the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Russia.
Dedicated to continuous growth, she has completed several government-supported training programs, including Python (Django) under the EDGE Project at RUET, PCEP-certified Python training (scoring 93%), and Web Development training via the LEDP initiative.
Sumaiya is passionate about academic excellence, applied research, and mentoring the next generation of technology leaders.
