Biography
19+ years of experience leading research and teaching in the fields of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Human Computer Interaction and Telecommunications Technology Policy. Implemented several successful interdisciplinary courses related to artificial Intelligence Machine Learning, Human-computer Interaction, and economics and Public Policy courses, focused on the global south. Directed research initiatives to develop sustainable applications of AI for public policy. Contributed as a member of various national and international committees to help national governments and international agencies on technology policy and design. Worked as an organizer, reviewer, and editorial board member of international conferences and journals. Published scientific journals, articles, and op-eds on technology and policy. Collaborated with international institutions to foster research initiatives and develop innovative solutions.
