Biography

Mst. Nishita Aktar is a Lecturer and Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at World University of Bangladesh (WUB).Her primary areas of expertise and research interest include Cybersecurity, Penetration Testing,Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence . She holds an NSDA certification in Penetration Testing (Freelancing Level 4), awarded in 2026. She has also completed training in Network and System Security (Freelancing Level 4) in 2026. Her technical interests include vulnerability assessment, security testing, intrusion detection, malware detection, phishing URL detection, and emerging security challenges associated with artificial intelligence and large language models.

Her research contributions span cybersecurity, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and quantum computing. She has authored and co-authored research articles published in journals and presented at international conferences, including Scopus-indexed conferences.

In addition to her research activities, she has substantial experience in university-level teaching, student mentoring, project supervision, curriculum development, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE). As Coordinator of the B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs, she contributes to academic planning, faculty and course allocation, class scheduling, examination management, and departmental administration. Her previous industry experience in web development, international e-commerce projects, technical team supervision, and project management enables her to integrate practical technical knowledge into teaching and student research.

Through her combined expertise in cybersecurity, professional certification, academic instruction, research, and departmental leadership, she is committed to advancing cybersecurity education, promoting applied research, and preparing graduates to address evolving challenges in information security and emerging technologies.
